...but it's against my will. I knew I said I'd try releasing a new version every month, but I just couldn't complete the module before Christmas and then... poof! All my time went into studying to pass uni exams. So I completely stopped coding for almost a month, and I even forgot checking the site regularly, as many of you probably noticed. I'm sorry about this: sometimes tou need to give priority to some things instead of others, and I believe you can understand me.
Anyway, let's get back to our main topic: AiDaNews2 v2.1.0 will be out soon. With soon I mean January, as I should be able to complete the things I still need to do in a couple of coding sessions. This applies for the 1.5 version ONLY, unlockily: I still haven't started working on the other versions, but it's all about making the same modifications to other files keeping in mind the differences between them. Once v 2.1.0 1.5 is out, the others should come smoothly. So, here's a little calendar for you guys:
I'm still studying for exams until February 22, then everything should be easier as long as I'm inspired :) This calendar doesn't include bugfix releases and such, that may slow things down. Anyways, I'm (probably) not releasing new features after v2.1.0 for a while. I'm sorry even this article came a little late, please understand this is just a hobby of mine and can't always be on top of my priority list :( |

Hi,
this is "normal" Joomla! behaviour, unfortunately. Please make sure you have a menu item for every category in your site, so that the links can redirect to them... If it doesn't work, please report it here again and I'll have a look at it :3
Hi Danilo, first of all thanks for a great module but I'm getting a small issue here.
Actually it's not small because stops me from using it on my website.
The thing is that I have module AiDaNews 2.0.8 placed on my homepage. Whole thing configured, styled as I want. Sweet and clean. I display Read more links, and when I click one, it takes me to the article. It's fine but an article is displayed in some kind of category :( I mean it seems that your module is taking first 'category' from my navigation and display everything in there.
For example, my left (main) navigation in column is History, Events, Contact. History displays 'Category blog' from 'History' category.
Joomla link for a homepage (*) sits in the top navigation and is not placed in left nav.
When I click 'Read more' from homepage, AiDa is showing article in www.mysite.com/history/88-something-wierd/events/79-name-of-the-event-1 instead of www.mysite.com/events/79-name-of-the-event
Where I can decide which template it is taking? How I can decide in which category is displayed? The problem is that under 'History' I display different module and what I see after clicking 'Read more' from homepage is that module and below that full article from AiDa ... hmm .. is this something that everybody else has problem with? Are you going to fix this issue soon?
Thanks for a quick reply in advance! Good luck with your exams as well!
I'm sorry I wasn't clear enough: AiDaNews2 v2.1.0 versionS that will work on Joomla! 1.7 will also work on Joomla! 2.5. This means both the upcoming AiDaNews2 v2.1.0 1.7 and the new AiDaNews2 for K2 v2.1.0 1.7 I wrote about in the article will support 2.5 ;)
Danilo, I mean AidaNews for K2 under last Joomla 2.5 version
The last
AiDaNews2 v2.1.0 1.7 already supports K2 itens?
Thanks again!
Best regards
Luciano
Hi,
you find more than a link because the title, the read more link and the image (if present) all link to the article. Simply remove the read more link, or the link from the title (there's an option in the title tab) or the image link (there's an option for that too) ;)
AiDaNews2 v2.1.0 1.7 will also work on Joomla! 2.5 ;)
HELP please
Which file i should correct and what correction should be made?
I try to register at forum an post a thread there but can receive confirmation email...
