Yes, I've been away for quite a while... It has happened before, and it may happen again, I can't avoid that. Anyway, I'm back for now and I want to take AiDaNews to a new level - v 2.0. I still need to start working on it, but things like these need a bit of planning so I need your help! In this article I'll write a list of things that will be refined and/or corrected, both taken from comments/forums and found out on my own. You can help by telling me what works and what doesn't, telling me what should be refined and so on. Please do NOT ask for new features (if they're not in the following list) - getting the module to a stable level is my main target right now. You can still ask for new features in the forums though - if it's something easy, I may code it anyway I'll try releasing the com_content / FLEXIcontent version and the K2 version of the module at the same time, even if it means delaying both versions a bit - I don't want the K2 version to be left as is any more Plans for AiDaNews v 2.0 (both versions)

Last Modified: 2-1-11, 0:12 If a line is green, that feature has already been coded If a line is blue, that's the next thing I will be working on Please note: AiDaNews won't include things as Pagination, Image Previews, Scrolling or Slideshows. As soon as I manage to learn how to code such things, I'll create another module. Download AiDaNews v 2.0 beta 1 (revision 3) HERE |

You forgot to close the div at line 1386
Bye
Ale
mmm... comments system removed a part of the message. I mean "... adding a div close tag at the very end of..."
Hi,
I downloaded and installed 2.0 version, and I had some display problems... It was completely brakeing my template.
Checking the code, I found that adding a at the very end of default.php file solved the problem.
I didn't investigate much more, but maybe you can have a look
Bye and thanks for your module
Alessandro
Sounds cool, I'll add it right away
I'd like to suggest a feature...
It should be really useful, in my opninion, to envelop each news in a div with a category class, suche as class="categoryID" where ID is the category ID.
This to give the possibility do have different layout for news from different categories...
Thanks a lot
Alessandro
Both problems have been solved in the beta version you can download on googlecode (even though I thought the alias issue had been solved in 1.2.1 already :3
I'm using the 1.2.1 version on my website (http://wwww.boincitaly.org) and I want to highlignt two little issues that I've noted:
the first regards url when SEO is enabled, that works but the article alias is missing. If you click on the title you can see that urls ends with the article id.
The second is related to the autor name: if an alias is present, it's ignored and the module show the real author of the article. You can easly reproduce that problems, but you can see them also on my website.
Thanks for your works!
Bye,
Paolo
buyuse...)Using option with metakeys, it is a good alternative for article IDs.
One more idea - how about an option to show metadescription in intro (alongside fulltext and introtext)?
Thanks again
